Does Butterkist use sustainable Palm Oil?

Where palm oil is still used in our products it is certified sustainable by the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Our manufacturing sites are audited against the RSPO Supply Chain Certification to certify that functional and effective traceability systems are in place.

Does Butterkist’s Microwave popcorn bags contain PFOA?

We can confirm that Butterkist microwavable popcorn bags do not contain chemicals that would change to perfluorooctanoic (PFOA). 

Does your popcorn contain Gluten?

The following Butterkist products are gluten free and have a gluten free claim present on pack:

Is your popcorn suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans?

All of our popped popcorn and Popcorners are suitable for vegetarians and our microwave popcorn is also suitable for vegans. Some of our ready-popped popcorn contains added milk or has a may contain warning for milk, therefore please see individual packs for full details.

Does Butterkist popcorn contain nuts and allergens?

The factory that produces Butterkist popcorn and microwave popcorn does not handle tree nuts or peanuts and there are no cross contamination risks for nuts or peanuts. Please check individual back of packs for other specific allergen information.

Do you run tours and factory visits?

Unfortunately due to very strict safety regulations we can’t permit the general public entry into our manufacturing areas. We apologise for any disappointment and hope that you continue to enjoy our products in the future.

Where can I buy Butterkist?

Butterkist popcorn is available in all major supermarkets and is available in many convenience stores. Due to the ever changing nature of product availability, please contact your local store for more information.
